About COSMETOLOGY
Course descriptions
COSMETOLOGY (Year, 1 credit, grade 12 only)
The curriculum at Educators of Beauty covers the following topics with the purpose of becoming knowledgeable of products and techniques to beautify hair, skin, and nails: Microbiology and pH; first aid and safety procedures; hair design theory, tools, and essentials; nail services theory and products; makeup design and products; hair removal theory and techniques; strip lashes. The curriculum also includes essential conversations and practice in healthy body and mind; communication skills for the beauty industry; entrepreneurship (owning and operating a salon); developing reslience; practicing quality customer service.
This program provides 150 hours to go towards earning a cosmetology license (1500 hours required in IL) and tuition credit if student continues after high school at Educators of Beauty.

M-F 8:00 - 9:30 AM, or 1:00 PM - 2:30 PM
